Be sure that when you setup the Encore unit you keep track of the ports that it requires (In the unit I used I kept the default of 8841 set and changed port 80 to port 82) and be sure to set the IP Address of the unit to a static IP address.
Be sure to go into your Router and enable Port Forwarding on both ports to the static address of the Encore Unit.
Loading the included software to view requires the IP Address (or DynDNS address if you do not have a static IP address), the 4 digit port (in this case 8841) and the password of the Encore DVR (Default is 123456 and can be changed in the DVR unit) - It will look like this:
If you want to use Internet Explorer you will need to type in the full address (in the format http://customaddress.dyndns.org:(the 2 digit port, I used port 82, ie http://encoredvr.dyndns.org:82) or the IP address (if you have a static IP and do not need a Dynamic IP address service like DYNDns)
Upon the first visit the webpage will require an ActiveX Object to be installed (its the custom viewer software shown above), you enter the 4 digit port number (8841) and the password (Default is 123456) and then will look like this once you login:
Using either method will allow you to login remotely to the DVR.
As always if you have any questions please feel free to ask your Account Exec!
